The StorTrends 3200i is a 3U IP-SAN and NAS Storage Solution with SAS or SATA Drives up to 32 TB, with the full-featured version of StorTrends iTX 2.7 Data Storage Software.

This dual dialect storage appliance can be deployed in existing Ethernet networks and has enough capacity to support the entire data storage needs of corporations and institutions. It merges Ethernet-based Storage Area Networks (IP-SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) on a single storage platform. Ideal for both primary and secondary storage, it provides many enterprise-class features at a price that is attractive to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs).

Support for iSCSI enables block applications like Microsoft® Exchange and Oracle® to be deployed or stored on the same server as traditional file services and storage. The StorTrends 3200i is designed with performance in mind, and offers a host of advanced features that until now only existed in systems costing many times more.

The Volume Replication features of the StorTrends 3200i allows data to be stored on multiple StorTrends appliances at multiple sites, for high availability and disaster recovery in the event of a catastrophe.

The OS-agnostic High Availability module allows for the configuration of two StorTrends nodes in a High Availability configuration for maximum uptime and reliability. It takes advantage of IP virtualization to manage the HA pair, avoiding the need for special modules or clients to be loaded on client systems to reap the benefits of HA in StorTrends iTX. The StorTrends 3200i also features a Continuous Data Protection (CDP) module for protection against data loss in the event of a catastrophe. StorTrends® iTX combines its low-latency snapshot technology with efficient I/O journaling to offer a powerful, dependable CDP repository.

The StorTrends 3200i is capable of massive capacity expansion with ability to add up to three StorTrends 3201j JBOD enclosures. When fully populated with 2 TB SATA drives, a total of up to 96 TB of additional raw capacity can be added to augment the native storage volume of a StorTrends 3200i head unit.

For improved reliability and disaster prevention, the StorTrends 3200i has a redundant power supply, as well as Smart UPS support, which allows the appliance to seamlessly switch over to UPS power in the event of a power failure and initiate a graceful shutdown.

Each StorTrends IP-SAN and NAS appliance also includes the ManageTrends™ web-based GUI for StorTrends iTX Data Storage Software, which provides discovery and management of multiple StorTrends appliances deployed across the network. ManageTrends also monitors the storage performance, capacity and storage-related events, and provides a detailed analysis of the storage usage and the availability of the storage servers.
